For most of his life Edgar has been involved with horses. When the time he was a young boy growing up in  Brooklyn  he would ask his mother for money to buy carrots to feed the horse that pulled the vegetable cart. When he was nine, his dad took him to Madison Square Garden, to watch the national horse show. It was then he told his dad "I want to ride horses for a living." Edgar started riding horses at age 11 when he moved to Maryland. From a young age Edgar studied both horses and professional riders. Edgar states that the great Rodney Jenkins was one of his idols.

Not long after, his dream became reality.

Edgar now owns and operates Edgar Pagan Show Jumpers, and is 100% committed to his horses and riders. Edgar describes riding as an art, "like playing music." He says that the reins are like threads of string on a violin, to be held gently. If you watch him ride and teach, you will know what he means.

Edgar is truly an artist with horses.
